In addition, they shed in a matter of days rather than weeks, which is the normal time. When this happens on the scalp, pink patches appear followed by scaly skin. Scalp psoriasis is a hereditary condition that can affect us at any age, but it most often between the ages of 10 and 30. Doctors can prescribe medication for this skin condition.
